- What you'll doThe Health Legal team works at the cutting edge of public, commercial and medical law issues.
The work involves significant matters of relevance to both the health sector and New Zealanders at large.
Our team is an outstanding group of professionals committed to the future of healthcare in New Zealand.As a Senior Solicitor within Health Legal you will be involved in the policy process (including legislative development), legislative compliance and statutory interpretation.
In this role you will undertake a broad range of corporate and commercial work including drafting and advising on contracts (including IT arrangements) and tender documents, and advise on governance and corporate compliance issues.
You will have the opportunity to advise on complex and interesting health and public sector issues Ko ngā pūkenga ōu- What you'll bringAdmitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New ZealandHold or eligible to hold, a practising certificateMinimum of four years in a legal role, preferably within a government or public sector environmentExperience providing legal advice on complex mattersFamiliarity with government processes, machinery of government and working with legislationExperience in commercial and contract law in a public sector environment Ngā hua o tō mātou whare
