Workshop Team Leader
At Rutherford & Bond Toyota we believe that booking a vehicle into our Service Centre, buying a part or purchasing a new or used vehicle should be easy, and we are looking for someone with the same vision. We are seeking an experienced Workshop Team Leader to join our PD Centre (Pre-Delivery) based in Porirua, where we prepare & accessorise all new cars before delivery to our customers.
This is a crucial part to our business, so we're looking for someone with proven experience in an automotive franchise that is ready for a challenge and wants to make a change.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance, coaching & mentoring to workshop Technicians, Apprentices & Groomers
- Ensuring all workshop staff are meeting the required productivity & efficiency targets
- Assisting with the delivery of quality control processes and carrying out quality control checks & required documentation
- Ensuring the company health & safety and environmental policies are followed at all times
- Working in conjunction with the Parts Department to ensure all parts & accessories are meeting the “Just in time” process
- Maintaining NZTA WOF and PDI requirements
The successful applicant will:
- Experience in the automotive industry with proven workshop & technical knowledge
- Experience in coaching, mentoring and confidently motivating a team with an aptitude for identifying opportunities for improving performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An eye for detail & ability to deliver consistent quality
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Organised, methodical and able to implement and maintain systems and procedures
- Possess equal parts business acumen and personal motivation to meet and exceed business targets
- AVI (Authorised Vehicle Inspector) is essential
- Clean and current Full Drivers Licence
