Ko wai koe / About you:
Peer support is about you using your own experience of incarceration and alcohol or drug addiction to connect with, give hope to and empower others who are in the care of Waikeria Prison. You must be comfortable working with groups and have a good understanding of te ao Maori.
Nga pukenga ka whai koe/ Skills you will have:
- Preferably a relevant level 4 qualification in health, education or Maori arts
- A minimum of 3 years in recovery.
- Ability to facilitate group learning experiences.
- Ideally, whakapapa to mana whenua.
