We are a popular South Indian restaurant in Auckland. We are currently on the hunt for a South Indian Cook to work in our busy kitchen.
Our restaurants offer a wide range of South Indian food items on our menu, along with buffets. The restaurants are open Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 11 am and Midnight, and you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Our ideal candidates will be experienced in preparing South Indian cuisine and have at least 2 years of relevant work experience to be able to hit the floor running.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Preparing and cooking food
Storing excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff
Ensure that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresEfficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
Ensuring that food, health, and safety regulations are followed.
May select and train staff
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team
Communicate effectively with staff and management
Perform any other duties as required by the employer
What We’re Looking For:- Minimum 2 years of experience in South Indian cooking
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Reliable, motivated, and a good team player
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Able to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
