Cafe Manager - Te Aroha

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to oversee all aspects of our café operations. The successful candidate will manage staff, coordinate daily tasks, maintain high service standards, and ensure efficient and profitable operations while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day café operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash reconciliations

Train, supervise, and roster café staff

Coordinate ordering of supplies and manage inventory levels

Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and café standards

Handle customer service, resolve complaints, and maintain a welcoming environment

Monitor financial performance: budgets, expenses, cash flow, and profitability

Support menu planning and collaborate on promotions and marketing initiatives

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years relevant experience, or a level 4 or above qualification in Hospitality or any field in Business or Commerce

Strong leadership, team management, and customer service skills

Competence in inventory control, basic accounting, and budgeting

Knowledge of New Zealand food safety, health & safety regulations

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
