We have the opportunity for you!The NZSIS is looking for a Personnel Security (PERSEC) Team Manager to lead the delivery and performance of all PERSEC activities. PERSEC is a critical part of the NZSIS Insider Threat Mission, and looks after the security clearance lifecycle of the New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC).
About the roleThe role itself is complex and involved. You will: lead a high-performing team of insider threat and personnel security specialists, working to mitigate risk and provide service delivery capabilities to the NZIC. have oversight of complex investigations.
be responsible for service delivery management, planning and prioritisation. plan and provision for operational risk management and guidance be an integral enabler for the NZIC across a range of disciplines. support both technical and intelligence work to support highly compartmented insider threat investigations within the NZIC and wider government agencies.A critical part of the role is maintaining and enhancing a wide range of relationships, both internally and externally within wider government.If that wasn't enough... work well under pressure, using good judgment and displaying a high level of initiative. demonstrate strong verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical customers. project manage, coordinate and delivery key strategic initiatives.The PERSEC Manager role is a unique and exciting opportunity.People leadership is a must and you will be well supported by a high performing and positive team.Appointing range: $120,358 - $128,383.Before you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsORHold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
