We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, reliable and experienced Cook who has a passion for food and is keen to take the next step in their career by joining our team.
Cater Plus is the proud service provider for the new Ashbury Heights Rest Home in Whangarei. We are committed to providing high quality meals that are produced fresh everyday. To make this happen, we need a motivated Cook who is passionate about food and excellent service.
To be successful in this role you need to be able to multitask, have a friendly disposition and show good communication skills in order to interact with care staff and residents. Reliability will rate as one of your key attributes. We require experience in a rest home or lifestyle village environment.
You will be involved in all aspects of food preparation and service, along with a commitment to maintaining our food safety programme.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Cook position will require a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.
Responsible for:- Preparing, cooking and serving wholesome food in an aged-care setting including morning and afternoon teas and lunches
- patient and staff menu design and implementation including special dietary requirements
- monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation,
- maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment,
- work at a high level without supervision
- Police vetting is a requirement for this role.
