The Gig:
We are partnering with a Christchurch-based organisation with a deep history in the region. They are now looking for a Trade assistant who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on individual with a "jack of all trades" mentality. If you thrive on solving problems, working with a variety of equipment, and tackling maintenance challenges, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a key team member, you'll handle a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility. You'll work with machinery, systems, and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations. No two days will be the same, and for the right person, there's a clear pathway for growth and development.
The Goods:
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or general maintenance
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- A willingness to learn, grow, and adapt to the role.
- Comfortable working with a variety of tools and equipment.
- Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on work in sometimes challenging environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
The Essentials:
- A proactive and reliable attitude.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues.
- Two work references (mandatory).
- Reliable transport to and from work.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards on-site.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
