The Role:

Due to our wonderful Herne Bay Centre Director going on parental leave, we are looking for an experienced ECE leader to join us from February 2026 through to January 2027. This role would be an amazing experience for someone who has been looking for an opportunity to step up to a Centre Director role, you will be supported to succeed by an experienced and close-knit leadership team

As our Centre Director you will be confident yet compassionate, and have the ability to build trust with children, whanau and teachers/support staff. Your team, and our families, will look to you for guidance and support due to your extensive ECE leadership experience and your professional approach.

You will be passionate about delivering high-quality education and ensuring your teaching team is provided with the equipment and opportunities to continuously improve their teaching practice. You will be supported to achieve excellence across all operational and curriculum aspects.

About You:
  • A qualified and registered ECE teacher, you have excellent communication skills and an in-depth knowledge of compliance and operations.
  • Experienced in the Reggio Emilia approach and at the very least knowledge of, and a passion for, this philosophy.
  • Collaborative and engaged senior leader who works alongside teachers and participates in group planning and mentoring.
