Bar Manager – Full Time (New Plymouth, NZ)
You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the bar, TAB and gaming areas, including:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to lead our team in a busy, friendly local venue. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the floor, running a tight ship, and creating a great atmosphere for customers and staff.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the bar, TAB and gaming areas, including:
- Leading, Managing, Training and Rostering bar staff
- Managing TAB and gaming machine operations
- Maintaining host responsibility and compliance
- Cash handling, banking and reporting
- Stock control, ordering and supplier liaison
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Ensuring high standards of service, safety and presentation
About You
You will ideally have:- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Duty Manager
- Strong knowledge of TAB and gaming machine operations
- A current Duty Manager’s Certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
- Excellent leadership and people skills, with a great personality
- A calm, organised approach under pressure
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
