Caregiver / Support Worker

We’re excited to be supporting clients to live independently in their own communities across Whangarei, Kerikeri, Paihia and Waipu. As part of this team, you’ll play a meaningful role in Dovida’s journey as we grow our presence in Northland.

• Full, high-quality training provided – tailored to our services so you’re fully prepared and supported in your role.
• We thoughtfully match caregivers with clients nearby who share common interests, helping build strong connections and support regular, ongoing shifts.
• $26.41–$31.08 per hour (based on experience and certifications, higher rates on weekends!)
• Prior experience highly valued but not a requirement
• Make a difference in the lives of older New Zealanders through 1:1 relationship-based care
• Work without the rush: spend a minimum of 2 hours per visit

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping with light household tasks and meal preparation
• Offering local transport to appointments or errands
• Supporting with personal care (e.g. showering, grooming)
• Giving medication reminders and helping maintain routines

• A kind, respectful, and community-minded approach
• A full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Flexibility and comfort in a casual role
• Experience of supporting/caring for a family member/friend helps but is not essential
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
