Senior Network Design Engineer / Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Design Engineer / Network Architect with expertise in Cisco technologies to join our client's team. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimising enterprise-level network solutions, helping to build a new data centre.Working with Cisco Fabric and migrating from Checkpoint to Palo Alto.
We are after someone who can spead to their designs with upper management and has routing and switching data centre experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy enterprise Cisco-based network infrastructures, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, and design specifications.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower), and wireless solutions (Cisco Meraki, Catalyst).
- Implement Cisco SD-WAN, VPN, QoS, and VLAN solutions for optimal connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimise network traffic.
- Ensure network security compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Automate network tasks using tools like Python, Ansible, or Cisco DNA Center.
- Extensive experience in Cisco network design
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLAN, STP, EtherChannel), and security protocols.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco ASA, Firepower, ISE, and VPN solutions.
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Meraki solutions is highly desirable.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
