Dynaflow ENZED – Wellington’s trusted experts in hydraulic engineering — is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Apprentice to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for the mechanical industry who wants to build a long-term career in engineering. You’ll gain hands-on experience across hydraulic maintenance, repairs, installations, machining, and general engineering work while learning alongside experienced tradespeople.

The team at Dynaflow will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey, with day-to-day work closely aligned to your apprenticeship training and course requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assisting with hydraulic maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Learning fitting, disassembly, repair, and reassembly processes
  • Supporting machining and turning of mechanical components
  • Assisting with welding work including MIG, TIG, and Arc
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
  • Helping with diagnostics, servicing, and overhauls
  • Hose and fitting assembly in both workshop and field service environments
  • Maintaining Dynaflow’s quality and safety standards
  • Learning from experienced engineers and fitters on the job
What We’re Looking For
  • Great attitude and willingness to learn
  • Passion for mechanical engineering and hands-on work
  • Minimum NZQA Level 2 in Maths and Science
  • Clean New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Great personality with confidence and strong communication skills
  • Physically fit, energetic, and hardworking
  • Some understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • A good sense of humour — we like to enjoy what we do!
