ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Baker, your primary role will be to assist in the day-to-day running of the Bakery department, ensuring that a maximum range and sufficient quantity of high quality freshly baked products are available for sale at the correct price at all times during opening hours. Some of the key areas for the role will be:
- Baking required levels of cakes and sweet products, pastries and bread dough
- Decorating celebration cakes and cupcakes
- Producing other bakery specific products as required (e.g. scones, muffins, pies, pizzas, cookies etc.)
- Merchandising products in the department and ensuring effective stock rotation through the monitoring of best before dates as well as stocktaking
- Receiving inwards goods.
- Assist in serving customers as required.Assisting in ensuring all appropriate cleaning takes place in the department.
- Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.
- Completing appropriate daily, weekly and monthly food safety traceability forms as required.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Here is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:- Commercial Bakery experience is a must!
- Supermarket experience is ideal!
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Comply with our food control plan / health and safety programme
- Right to work in New Zealand
