LALITA TRANSPORT is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead the efficient management of our vehicle fleet in beautiful Queenstown. This full-time role offers a competitive starting rate and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fleet operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
• Manage route planning and vehicle scheduling for maximum performance
• Coordinate closely with dispatch for optimal vehicle allocation

• Develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure vehicles meet NZ safety standards
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (WoF, registration, insurance)
• Keep maintenance records up to date and organise servicing as needed

• Monitor fuel, repair, and insurance costs, ensuring efficient budgeting
• Prepare forecasts and manage expenses to meet operational targets
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives

• Lead, supervise, and train drivers in line with company policies and safety standards
• Conduct performance reviews and encourage continuous improvement
• Foster a positive and safety-conscious team culture

• Track fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and utilisation metrics
• Report regularly to senior management
• Use fleet management software to analyse and improve operations

• Promote safe driving and ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards
• Respond to incidents promptly and implement corrective actions
• Maintain a safety-first work culture
• Remuneration
• Starting rate: NZD $28 - $32 per hour
• Minimum of 30 hours per week, full-time permanent employment
• Skills and Qualifications
• At leaset 2 years experience in a relevant role or Diploma level 5 in management or
• A Bachelor’s degree in any filed or higher is could substitute the above experiences
• Strong knowledge of NZ transport regulations and compliance requirements
• Financial acumen in fleet budgeting and cost control
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence or higher is required
