Cafe Manager Position

We are a community-focused cafe serving specialty coffee, salads, baking and a welcoming atmosphere.

Are you a passionate coffee enthusiast with strong leadership skills? We’re seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to join our dynamic team and help drive our cafe’s success. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with our two owner-operators to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, serving customers, preparing top quality coffee and maintaining cleanliness.
• Manage inventory, staff scheduling, and daily workflows to optimise efficiency.
• Develop and execute social media strategies to grow our online presence, engage with customers, and promote events/specials.
• Lead by example in a collaborative environment, working alongside owners and team members.
• Handle customer service, resolve issues, and foster a positive team culture.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a senior barista or management role within a cafe or similar hospitality setting.
• Ability to manage and develop social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) to build brand awareness.
• Flexibility to work some evening and weekend shifts as part of a rotating schedule. Some shifts starting at 7am.
• Willingness to collaborate and manage operations alongside two owner-operators.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
• Passion for coffee, customer service.
• Willingness to muck in, for example help with dishes and deep cleans.

What We Offer:

• Hourly pay rate $27 - $30 depending on experience.
