When nature thrives, we all thrive. He angitūtanga | About the roleYou will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the visitor centre, ensuring that the operations are kept running smoothly.

You will deliver quality information on conservation and recreational activities to visitors, maintain stock, coordinate purchases and build relationships with local suppliers. This rewarding role is based in Arthur's Pass, in the heart of the Southern Alps/Kā Tiritiri o te Moana.Core components of this role include:Providing visitors with up-to-date information on visitor safety, local conservation projects, weather and conditions of the track and huts and recreation opportunitiesAssisting visitors with retail purchasesConveying visitor safety information clearly, concisely and in a positive mannerProviding media and communications supportSupporting wider district community programmesThe position operates on a rostered basis, with scheduled workdays from Thursday to Monday.DOC shared rental accommodation is available for the successful candidate.
