As one of our Driver Trainers, you will play a key part in improving safety, performance, and professionalism across our Lower North Island team. You’ll work directly with new and existing drivers along with forklift operators, providing in-cab assessments, delivering effective training, and helping our people build confidence and skill behind the wheel.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Driver Trainer who is passionate about safe driving practices, has a genuine desire to coach and develop others, and enjoys being on the road as much as in the classroom.

What will you be doing:

• Delivering in-cab driver training and assessments for Classes 2–5 and Forklift Operators
• Conducting pre-employment, annual, and post-incident driver assessments
• Coaching drivers to improve safety, efficiency, and professionalism
• Delivering induction, vehicle familiarisation, and customer-specific training
• Providing licensing and endorsement training in line with NZTA and MITO standards
• Maintaining accurate training records and completing all required documentation
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies

What you will bring:

• Full, clean NZ Driver Licence (Class 5) with I Endorsement
• Current MITO and/or Competenz Assessor Registration
• Approved NZTA course provider for class 2 through 5 licensing
• Solid experience in a professional driving or training role
• Sound knowledge of NZ road transport regulations and safety standards
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confident using EROAD or similar systems
• High attention to detail and a practical, down-to-earth approach
