In this role you will be part of the National Recruitment team who are committed to best practice, consistency, quality and providing strategic recruitment support to our stakeholders.
You will work extensively with Hiring Managers in both the custodial and community space, candidates, and with members of our general community.As a Recruitment Advisor your responsibilities will include; Service the organisations workforce capacity needs by the delivery and management of best practice end-to-end recruitment process for volume or one-off roles aligned to our National Recruitment Operating Model.Work as a trusted strategic partner to our stakeholders providing forecasting plans, candidate pipeline and attraction and selection strategies.Management of the Applicant Tracking System (Springboard) forms and processes.Facilitation of assessment centres and assessor trainingOrganizing and representing Ara Poutama at events.Providing best practice candidate carePartner with stakeholders to provide professional, efficient and timely service and recruitment support and guidance.Look for opportunities to increase applications from diverse groups.He kōrero mōu | About you It's important to us you embrace our values.Manaaki (Respect): We care and respect everyone.Whānau (Relationships): We develop supportive relationships.Wairua (Spirituality): We are unified and focused in our efforts.Kaitiaki (Guardianship): We are responsive and responsible.Rangatira (Leadership): We demonstrate leadership and are accountable.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceAll those ideas you have around attraction, candidate care and stakeholder engagement are welcome
  • we also need someone who can show us they can:Solid volume recruitment experience within a large complex organisation for Probation Officers, Corrections Officers, similar or operational, administration or contact centreEfficiently manage a demanding workload, ensuring timely and effective execution of recruitment tasks.Demonstrate capability to work as a strategic partner identifying needs and providing market insights and advice and solutions on attraction and selection solutions for frontline recruitment.Demonstrate confidence in interacting with candidates and hiring managers, providing clear guidance and support throughout the hiring process.Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment, contributing to a positive and cooperative work atmosphere.Navigate organisational policies, ensuring compliance and consistency throughout the recruitment process and consulting with others where appropriatePrioritise timely communication to all stakeholders, maintaining transparency and keep them informed at each stage of the recruitment journey.Comfortable with public interaction and able to act as an Ara Poutama advocate at events and create engagement with the audience.Be able to show an understanding (or an openness to developing an understanding) of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to the work of government departments.
