Catering Chef

Head chef position in busy catering kitchen. Responsibilities include overseeing day to day catering operations within a small but dedicated Pakuranga catering kitchen.

The job involves all aspects of daily operations including stock receiving, inventory control and rotation. Production of catering orders daily to the highest standard, ensuring low food wastage, whilst maintaining a high standard of food presentation.

We also prepare breakfasts, lunches and buffets in house and this occasionally requires evening or weekend work.

At least 2 years experience in a senior kitchen role is necessary. We are seeking excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritse, problem solve, multi-task, cope under pressure and work to time constraints.

Must be flexible, and able to work under time pressure and in a small team

Std hours approx Mon-Fri 6am to 2.30pm but hours vary with the requirement to work evening and weekend functions when necessary.
