By providing a thorough audit of operations and ensuring they're done within proper boundaries, your work is central to ensuring public trust and confidence.Key responsibilitiesYou'll work closely with managers to: conduct audits, identify areas of non-compliance, risk and inefficiency, and then make recommendations.The work is complex, challenging and rewarding, and you'll directly contribute to keeping Aotearoa safe and protecting national security.Who we're looking forIn order to succeed in this role, you will: Have previous audit or investigations experience Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written Be confident building successful and constructive relationships Have a strong attention to detailThis is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment where you will lead in the assessment of the GCSB's success in meeting its legal and policy commitments.Before you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsORHold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
