-of-a-kind procurement activity across a vital construction project using modern methods of construction.Work on high-value, complex NZS3916:2013 and AoG Panel contracts to support this construction project.Join a fast-paced and dynamic team with opportunities for growth and impact using your construction sector knowledge and experience.Fixed-term opportunity up until 30 June 2026 based at our National Office in Wellington, potentially would also suit an inter-Agency secondment.

Mō te tūnga | About the RoleAs the sole Senior Procurement Adviser to the Department's Accelerated Capacity Project, you'll provide specialist procurement leadership, advice, and support for this project.
You'll play a key role in delivering procurement and commercial guidance, managing high-value supporting contracts, and ensuring best-value outcomes.
This role involves working closely with a fast-paced and dynamic project team who are operating at the cutting edge of a major one-of-a-kind construction project.
You will be expected to hit the ground running and utilise your highly geared stakeholder engagement and relationship skills, together with your knowledge of construction and consultancy contracts, to drive procurement excellence.

Mōu | About youTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:Proven experience in procurement within construction and supporting consultancies.Strong knowledge of operational sourcing and procurement best practices, including experience with complex tender processes,Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.Experience working with construction and consultancy contract templates, including AoG panels and associated NZS3916:2013 or NZS3916:2023 contracts.Understanding of government procurement policy, rules, and guidelines.

Utu ā-tau | SalaryThe midpoint of the salary range is $147,765 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $125,601
  • $177,318 per annum.
Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
