About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Stanford House, you will deliver evidence-based assessment, therapeutic interventions, and recovery-focused support for adult inpatients within a secure, specialist forensic environment. You will contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, provide clinical leadership in day‑to‑day practice, and support residents and their whanau toward meaningful recovery outcomes.
About the Team / Service / Location
Our team at Stanford House is part of the Central Regional Forensic Mental Health Addiction Service. We provide 24/7 specialist care for male adults requiring secure inpatient forensic mental health services, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
About You- A current New Zealand Registered Nurse qualification and APC
- Mental health experience, or at least two years' general nursing experience
- Strong therapeutic engagement skills with tangata whaiora and whanau
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- A calm, supportive, and resilient approach in challenging situations
