Diesel Technician

**The Role**
Based at Truckstops Volvo Mt Maunganui and reporting to the Service Foreman, you'll carry out fault diagnosis, repairs and scheduled maintenance using Volvo Tech Tool and other OEM diagnostic platforms. You'll collaborate with experienced pros, mentor apprentices, and continuously grow your skills with inhouse and OEM training.
This is a minimum 40 hours a week with a rostered Saturday. There is also an expectation to work after hours callouts as needed on a rostered basis, and flexibility to travel for work and training as and when required.

**What We're Looking For**
NZQA Level 4 National Certificate in Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant & Equipment (or equivalent)- 3 years hands-on experience as a diesel technician (Volvo or other heavy transport brand needed)
- Current full NZ driver license - minimum Class 2 (ideally up to Class 5 or willing to obtain)
- A strong commitment to safety and a proactive mindset
- Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliability and willingness to commit to the team
