Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS - Palmerston North

This is a long-standing main contractor that is well known across the North Island. They have developed a reputation as being solid and dependable. They work across a range of commercial build categories of between $10M - $60M.

Due to future internal movements in the commercial team, they are now looking for either an Intermediate/Senior or Senior QS to join the team.

• Managing projects end to end
• Preparation of estimates, tender documentation, supplier agreements and negotiation with sub-contractors
• Preparing detailed budgets and cost plans
• Contract Administration
• Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
• Financial control

As an applicant:

• You have a tertiary degree in Quantity Surveying
• You have at least 8+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a NZ commercial main contractor
• Ideally a former trade background would be of interest
• Your IT skills are outstanding
• Experience with tendering and estimating
• You are enthusiastic, organized, confident and enjoy developing, communicating and sharing ideas
