We are looking for a Building Compliance Consultant based in Takapuna. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring clients achieve and maintain compliance with New Zealand’s Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) requirements. This position is responsible for managing compliance documentation and facilitating remedial works to issue BWoFs on time while delivering exceptional customer service.

By working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, the role supports operational efficiency, compliance excellence, and a seamless customer experience.

About the Role:
  • Coordinate the end-to-end Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) process – from managing compliance documentation to ensuring timely issuance and renewals
  • Liaise with clients, inspectors (IQPs), and subcontractors to facilitate remedial works, inspections, and compliance-related communications
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation using internal systems, ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible
  • Prepare and manage quotes, offers of service, and compliance reports to support efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Champion health, safety, and continuous improvement practices to ensure compliance with regulations and deliver best-in-class service
Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance or administration, preferably in the building compliance sector, or a New Zealand Diploma in Building/Construction
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) regulations and processes
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing high volumes of tasks while ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and proactively address client needs in a professional manner
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in documentation, reporting, and scheduling, as well as a focus on compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and compliance software, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear, effective information delivery
