Operations manager

About us:

We are a well-established frozen food distribution company based in Lower Hutt specializing in providing frozen meat products to local and national markets. As our business grows, we are looking for a new member of our team experienced in operations to ensure things go well day to day

• Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the distribution center, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and support personnel to achieve performance goals.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, minimize losses, and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage transportation logistics, including route planning, carrier relationships, and delivery schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational success and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to implement new technologies, streamline processes, and adopt best practices in distribution.
