Due to an ongoing project, a great six-month contract opportunity has been created for a Payroll and Finance Administrator to join an internationally recognised brand based in the Eastern Suburbs.

About the role:

In this role your primary responsibility is for managing the end-to-end payroll process for a medium sized organisation. You will also assist with financial aspects too, such as managing the organisation credit card administration and reconciliations as well other month end and transactional accounting support. Your day-to-day tasks will involve the following:

  • Managing the fortnightly payroll, responding to queries and reviewing payroll calculations.
  • Respond to, triage and escalate payroll related queries as required.
  • Enter timesheets into the finance system to ensure the fortnightly payroll and reporting can be processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare relevant payroll and accounting tax returns and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Other ad-hoc payroll and financial administration responsibilities as required.

About you

You will have experience working in a high-volume role, managing the end-to-end payroll process. You will be proficient using Microsoft Excel and be adaptable to changing tasks depending on the day. Beyond this, you will ideally possess some of the following skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with a complex payroll system.
  • Ideally experience in basic financial administration and tax compliance, but not 100% necessary.
  • You'll be a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously and enjoy solving problems independently. Support is there, however in a small team you'll be someone who gives it a crack yourself first!
