We're on the lookout for enthusiastic, self-motivated Sonographer to join our friendly and close-knit team. You'll be working alongside two experienced sonographers (one full-time, one part-time) who are passionate about what they do and always up for supporting new team members.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our department is a busy yet supportive environment, featuring three ultrasound rooms equipped with Philips EPIQ machines. We offer a range of services, including acute ED/inpatient care, outpatient services, and community-based examinations as well as some interventional procedures.
Whanganui is a pretty, easy to live in town with easy access to larger centers while maintaining a strong sense of community. Situated along the Whanganui River and near both the sea and mountains, it offers fantastic outdoor lifestyle opportunities.The area also boasts a thriving arts community, and housing remains affordable compared to many larger cities.

About you
We're on the lookout for a skilled and caring Sonographer to join our dedicated team in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. If you're seeking a role where your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and compassionate approach are truly valued — this could be the perfect fit.
Our ideal candidate will have:
A national diploma or degree in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging (or a recognised New Zealand equivalent)
A current Annual Practising Certificate issued by the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board
A willingness to support and guide student Sonographers as part of their learning journey
A proactive attitude and openness to taking on additional responsibilities such as hazard management, health and safety, and IANZ processes
An interest in ongoing professional development, including cross-modality training as opportunities arise
