About the Role

Salary - Starting rate $28.63 per hour plus penal rates. Based on the E tu Food and Services collective agreement

Are you looking to contribute to the community in a meaningful way? Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for our turoro (patients) and whanau.

Fixed ter, full-time from 21/11/25- 24/11/26 covering maternity leave, Mon-Fri 06.30.15:00.

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards
  • Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
  • Operating and maintaining equipment safely around patients and whanau
  • Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking candidate who can bring their passion for cleaning to our facilities. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.

About you

Skills and Experience:

  • High level of patient confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential.
