Skilled Chinese Cuisine Chefs Wanted

Hourly Rate: $27.00 – $30.00 (depending on experience and skills)

Chinese Cuisine Restaurant in Auckland is seeking two experienced and passionate chefs to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are positive, ambitious, and able to handle responsibility with ease, while remaining focused and calm in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Specialisation in either authentic Chinese cuisine
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and split shifts as required
• Innovative, forward-thinking, and able to command respect in the kitchen
• Able to prepare high-quality dishes efficiently
• Knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation regulations
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Prepare and season food according to traditional Chinese recipes
• Cook meals efficiently, including for customers with special dietary requirements
• Monitor food stock levels and ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
• Properly store and preserve ingredients, including freezing when necessary
• Enforce kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Plan and develop new menu items and recipes
• Train junior kitchen staff on new techniques, recipes, and equipment
• Supervise and manage kitchen operations to ensure service quality and efficiency
• Review and adjust staffing levels based on service needs and financial targets
