We're on the lookout for a confident and capable Senior Management Accountant to take full ownership of our month-end process, partner with operations, and drive continuous improvement across the business. This is a high-impact role where your financial expertise will directly influence tactical decisions and strategic outcomes.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Senior Management Accountant, you'll lead the monthly revenue accrual and WIP process, ensuring the integrity of project margins, P&L, and financial data. You'll review and post adjustment journals for revenue and cost to maintain accuracy and completeness, and deliver comprehensive monthly reporting packs with balance sheet and capital expenditure reconciliations and insightful analysis.

You'll also manage the AR ledger, drive proactive cash collection strategies, review and resolve aged purchase orders, and maintain accurate inventory levels across branches. This role includes managing one direct report (Management Accountant).

In addition, you'll collaborate with Delivery and Operations Managers on quarterly forecasts, updating financial models and reporting packs, and support the Commercial Manager with the annual budget process covering P&L, balance sheet, and ROCE models.

You'll update cash flow forecasts to support business decisions, review annual price escalations, and update cost/sell rates in JDE as required.

As a commercial partner and leader, you'll act as the go-to finance partner for Delivery and Operations teams, providing visibility into performance and outcomes. You'll role model Northpower's values in all interactions, act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, and support the Commercial Manager with audit preparation, reporting, and ad hoc projects.

You'll help strengthen our brand through professionalism, clarity, and commercial insight.

You'll also champion finance-driven improvements across cost management, invoicing, WIP, inventory, and debtor processes. Your focus on continuous improvement will include contributing to the implementation of audit findings, supporting system enhancements, and seeking out opportunities for professional and business development.

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you'll have proven experience in management accounting, ideally within a project or service-based industry. You'll bring strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling, along with confidence working with ERP systems JDE experience is highly regarded.

You'll hold a Finance, CA, or CPA qualification (or equivalent), and experience with Power Query and Power BI will be an advantage. A continuous improvement mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for partnering with operations are essential.
