Mō te tūnga | About the roleDefence Security's mandate is to protect the NZDF from security threats, vulnerabilities and risks that could cause harm to our people, information and capabilities.This role's purpose is to lead and operationally manage the Security Guard Force in the greater Auckland Region Defence occupied sites:For the delivery of security and protection functions to ensure the provision of timely and effective high
  • quality security and protective services (for which Defence Security has responsibility).For ensuring the physical environments within the respective sites are secure with minimal constraint to operational outputs.The Regional Manager is supported by Site Supervisors who will provide day to day operational management of security functions.

You will support these Site Supervisors by providing direction, leadership, coaching, mentoring and focussing on ways we can continually improve the professional services we provide.

This role is based across the greater Auckland region which will see you travelling between our Auckland camps and bases on a weekly basis.

We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience in leading cultural change to support the successful embedding of these developments.
Your skills in the remote management of staff and resources across multiple locations, as well as mentoring and coaching, will be crucial to your success in this role.
You must also have no issues with being able to travel amongst the camps and bases on a weekly basis.You must have significant experience operating within a security environment.
