Agricultural Helicopter Operations – Hurunui - (Must be living in the area)
We are a busy agricultural helicopter company based in Hurunui and are seeking an Aviation Operations & Ground Support Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining office administration with aviation ground operations in a rural, safety-critical environment.
Key responsibilities- Office administration, invoicing and data entry
- Job reconciliation and general office support
- Assisting pilots and operations staff
- Helicopter ground operations and hangar support
- Safe handling and loading of agricultural chemicals (training provided)
- Maintaining hangar cleanliness, equipment and safety standards
- Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
- Early starts from 4:00am
- Occasional late finishes up to 9:00pm
- Weekend and public holiday work required
- Hours vary depending on weather and operational requirements
This role requires flexibility and reliability due to the nature of agricultural aviation operations.
What we are looking for- Reliable and safety-focused individual
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
- Willingness to work flexible and irregular hours
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn aviation and agricultural operations
Previous experience in aviation, agriculture, logistics, or administration is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
Pay & conditions- $25.00 per hour
- PAYE, ACC and KiwiSaver applied
- Public holiday entitlements paid in accordance with NZ employment law
- Permanent full-time role or fixed-term full-time role available
