Consultant Psychiatrist input is essential in a range of clinical activities, including 24-hour seclusion reviews, periodic reviews of treatment, statutory assessments under the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 and decisions about leave and discharge.
The Mental Health Service has a robust Peer Review Group and you will have access to CPD activities to meet ongoing registration requirements. About the Team/Service/ LocationNga Rau Rakau is the acute admission facility for seriously mentally ill people in the Hawkes Bay region.
Our team consists of staff from a wide variety of backgrounds who are skilled in supporting people who live with severe mental illnesses and their whanau.
