Calibration/Cylinder Test Technician

Tanktest Laboratories has over 30 years of expertise when it comes to testing LPG and industrial gas cylinders. We pride ourselves in what we do and now seeking a full time Calibration/Cylinder test technician. The role is based at our Christchurch facility but may require travel to our north island based facilities occasionally.
This is a Thursday to Monday role with a requirement of being available on preplanned Wednesdays.
Some of your day to day tasks will include but are not limited to- Calibrating various equipment as per relevant AS/NZS standards
- Recertifying High and low pressure cylinders as per quality manual
- Refilling High and Low pressure cylinder
- Generating custom mixture of gases as per client's requirements
- Maintain regulatory compliance as per relevant standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot High/Low pressure test rig panel along with Kremlin Spray paint set up
- Dealing with customers and provide appropriate solutions when required
- Operate forklift when needed
- Drive company vehicles to customer's sites and collect stock when required
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with Industrial gases and High pressure cylinders.
- Have a sound knowledge of risks associated with Low/High pressure industrial gases and cylinders
- Willingness to go through appropriate length of inhouse training to gain IANZ approvals
- Must be willing to attend regular theory and practical exams as a part of training
- Familiar with mathematical calculations related to max/min error allowances of gauges
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft products
- Must be willing to go through Drug test.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg weight and work under different weather elements.
