Support Worker in home - Tauranga
Permanent homebased support worker role
- Minimum 60 hours per fortnight
- Level 4 NZQA trained support worker needed
Our team are seeking an experience and Level 4 NZQA health and wellbeing trained Support Worker to join the team supporting key kiritaki living with disabilities and other health needs in Tauranga.
As a Support Worker (care staff) your key responsibilities include:
Supporting kiritaki to achieve their identified goalsFollow planned care within the individual support plan
Support personal cares for the person ; assisting with bathing, grooming, meals, mobilisation.
Assist with home management; cleaning and organising spaces for the client that makes their lives safer, easier.
Minimum requirements of applicants:
Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualified care staff
Able to travel safely and independently between locations and clients across the Auckland region (NZ driver licence and access to a car)Ability to work rotating rostered shifts including days, afternoons, nights, wake over/sleep over shifts and including weekends.
- 12 months experience working specifically in a home-based care role, as we need workers familiar with, and capable of, working independently in this type of care environment.
Experience in complex manual handling transfers.
Experience in managing behaviour that can be challenging.Able to work a minimum of 60 hours a fortnight (up to 90 hours maximum a fortnight).
