This role offers the opportunity to work across the child and adolescent mental health spectrum using the service delivery model CAPA, the Choice and Partnership Approach and you can learn more about this at www.capa.co.ukYou will deliver evidence-based, client-centred care in collaboration with young people and their whānau, focusing on early intervention, shared decision-making, and strong multidisciplinary partnerships.The role involves conducting Choice appointments, developing and delivering Partnership plans, undertaking specific interventions, and contributing to acute mental health care as required.We offer a supportive and progressive team environment where professional development, cultural responsiveness, and holistic care are highly valued.
This is your chance to contribute to a service that actively supports Māori health equity and champions a Te Tiriti o Waitangi-led approach in practice.For a copy of the Job Description, please click hereAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Registration with the appropriate New Zealand professional body and a current Annual Practising CertificateProven experience working with children, youth, and their whānau in a mental health contextStrong understanding of the developmental and mental health needs of young peopleDemonstrated ability in risk assessment and crisis managementA collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team environmentKnowledge of evidence-based models of care in child and adolescent mental healthCultural awareness and a commitment to biculturalism and equitable health outcomes for MāoriExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse familiesFlexibility, strong time management, and the ability to work both autonomously and in partnership with community agenciesA valid drivers license Desirable:Experience in community mental health, crisis intervention, or child protectionPost-graduate training in child and adolescent mental healthExperience contributing to the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental conditionsIf you are an experienced, self-motivated, Social Worker with a sense of humour and strength of character to make a positive difference to vulnerable young people, we want to hear from you.
