About the RoleWe have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Te Manawa Taki regional team as a Compliance and Health Protection Team Lead, Waikato/Taupō.The primary purpose of the role is team management, delivery, performance, and development.
It involves operational leadership, responsibilities for people and performance, and a collaborative approach to working.The Team Lead will hold an operational role in the team, deliver operational work and have responsibility for work programme(s) relevant to their professional skill set (depending on the size of the team they are responsible for).About the Team/Service/ LocationThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand- Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualification/degree in Public Health or a related field or equivalent experienceProven experience in team leadership and management, preferably in a public health contextAt least 3-5 years' experience in a public health service delivery roleExperience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in actionClean full New Zealand Drivers' LicenceWillingness to travel across the region.Operational role within the teamWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
