This is a newly created opportunity to shape the future of service delivery at Spectrum Care.

As Business Development Manager, you will lead the diversification and growth of our services, identifying new opportunities and translating them into sustainable, high-impact service offerings. You will play a key role in strengthening our strategic partnerships across government and non-government sectors, while ensuring our services remain responsive to changing needs.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and implementation- taking ideas from concept through to delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and progressing new growth opportunities aligned to organisational strategy
  • Strengthening and evolving existing services to maximise impact and sustainability
  • Leading the development of business cases and financially viable service models
  • Building and maintaining strong sector relationships and partnerships
  • Translating service capability into market-ready, fundable solutions
  • Working collaboratively across internal teams to support successful delivery

You are a strategic thinker who understands the realities of service delivery and funding within the social services sector.

You bring a balance of commercial insight, sector knowledge and a commitment to improving outcomes for people.

You will:

  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen, with the ability to assess risk, viability and long-term value
  • Bring a track record of identifying and delivering new business or service opportunities
  • Think innovatively, with the ability to translate ideas into practical solutions
  • Build credibility and influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally
  • Plan and execute effectively, with a structured and methodical approach
  • Work collaboratively within a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
**What You’ll Bring**
  • A postgraduate qualification in business, commerce, or a relevant social/health discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in business development and/or service development in a leadership capacity
  • A strong understanding of the New Zealand social services landscape
  • Established relationships across government and/or NGO sectors will be highly advantageous
