As a Policy Analyst, you'll support the development of high'quality, evidence'based policy advice, working collaboratively across the Ministry and wider health sector.

This role is part of Health System Strategy and Performance team within the Strategy and Funding Policy Unit.

The team:supports advice on future targets and what policy interventions would support lifting performance against targets over time, andlook at the overall impact on system performance and accountabilities, affordability and productivity.Provides oversight, coordination and alignment on the Pae Ora strategies.Reviews and updates the Government Policy Statement on Health,leads work on Briefings for Incoming Ministers.

  • What you'll bring Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.Proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and confidentiality.Excellent relationship'building skills,A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
A qualification in economics or public policy would be an advantage.Lived experience in Te Ao Māori and/or strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, health equity and their application in government.We are open to graduate applicantsNgā hua o tō mātou whare
