RD Manufacturing is a family-run business based in Papakura, specialising in the production of HDPE pipe and drainage products. We operate modern, PLC-controlled extrusion machinery to deliver high-quality plastic solutions to our customers.
We’re currently looking for a Plastic Welding Operator to join our tight-knit Extrusion Department team. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week day shift position. You’ll be involved in the manufacturing and welding of plastic fittings for corrugated pipes, tanks, and more.Overtime is available if needed.
What you’ll do:
As a Welding Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of cutting and welding machines. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

- A proactive, hands-on worker – you’re not afraid to get stuck in, try new things, and use your initiative
- Previous machine operation experience – you’re confident using machinery safely
- Experience with plastics or extrusion machinery is a bonus (but not essential)
- Attention to detail – you take pride in producing quality work and solving problems quickly
- You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand
