Professional and Clinical Leader Addictions Clinician - Waitematā Permanent, Full-time Position1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)Based in TakapunaHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the Role We are excited to advertise a new permanent Professional and Clinical Leader Addictions Clinicians role within the Waitematā Specialist Mental Health and Addictions Services (SMHAS).

This role supports optimising of tāngata whai i te ora and whānau care across the addictions services by providing professional leadership to alcohol and other drug (AOD) clinicians who are registered with the Addictions Practitioners Association of Aotearoa New Zealand (dapaanz) and New Zealand Association of Counselling (NZAC) registration bodies.Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Allied Health SMHAS, with links to the Waitematā Chief and Deputy Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Professions Officers, you will also work in close partnership with Operations Managers, Clinical Directors, Team Managers and Leaders and other Clinical Leaders to facilitate optimum quality, productivity and efficiency of all relevant aspects of clinical service delivery.

You will be a key component in the Health NZ Waitematā Allied Health and Addictions clinical governance frameworks with primary areas of responsibility for strategic development including policy making, setting professional and clinical standards and ensuring the quality and safety of clinical practice within your domain.
