Theservice provides post discharge follow up and increased support to our NGOpartners including respite and Te Ao Marama (a community-based peer lead, acuteadmission alternative service).We are currently expanding theCIP service, with this role joining three existing positions meaning we cancreate a dynamic, supportive team delivering increased home-based follow-up inthe community.

CIP is currently managed by the Clinical Manager of however provides clinical care to consumers under both adultinpatient and community teams. About youWe are looking for a motivated and skilled mental healthnurse who can bringclinical expertise, adaptability, and empathy to this role.In this role you will:Be able to work independently, undertake home visits on your own if risk assessment determines it safe to do so.Work together in a collaborative manner within a small team, sharing the workload and decision making.Be flexible, confident, experienced and understand the value of intensive community-based support and enjoy working in partnership with consumers and their family-whānau.Have excellent communication skills to effectively work with a range of consumers, family-whānau, colleagues, health providers and other agenciesBe self-motivated with drive, passion and initiativeEssential RequirementsRegistered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate (APC).Hold a current full driver's licence, valid for use in New Zealand.Experience working in adult mental health Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) or be prepared to train as a DAO and maintain your DAO status while in the role.Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o WaitangiWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Orais dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
