The clients in the Flexible Supports Unit have intellectual disabilities ranging from Autism, Down Syndrome to Global Development Delay.

This job is ideal for adult and youth mentors who have initiative and enjoy taking a flexible approach to supports each day. A typical day involves taking clients out to activities, providing respite for families and providing companionship.

• Are you a great communicator and able to use a variety of communication strategies (e.g.: social media, texting, non-verbal communication aids)?
• Do you have a Level 2, 3 or 4 health qualification? If you have no health qualification your application may not be considered
• Are you able to commit to a client(s) for an extended period of time?
• Are you willing to continually up skill your knowledge by attending information and training opportunities?
• Are you able to work within a framework that celebrates the strengths of the client and proactively supports them to live their good life?
• Are you able to work in a role that is akin to a combination of life-coaching, support work, companionship and being motivational?
• Do you have some weekend availability?
• Do you have your own vehicle and a Full driver's license?
