Warehouse Manager – Supermarket & Garden Produce Supplier

Location: Waikato

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and hands on Warehouse Manager to join our busy supermarket and garden produce supply operation. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily warehouse activities, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the efficient movement of fresh food and product stock.

• Oversee the day to day operations of the warehouse.
• Manage incoming and outgoing stock, including fresh produce.
• Ensure accurate and timely order picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and handling standards.
• Supervise and support warehouse staff, including rostering and training.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks – if applicable).
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams to meet delivery schedules.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification OR a minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, food preparation, warehouse operations, or a similar environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proven reliability and a good work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• A positive, team focused attitude.

(Preferred but not essential: forklift license, experience with fresh produce, experience in a supervisory role.)

• Competitive pay: $25–$35 per hour.
