Dispatch/Warehouse Manager (Hamilton)
This is an opportunity to lead our warehouse and distribution operations at Cycle Sport 2025 Ltd, part of the Evo Cycles Group. We are looking for a hands-on leader to take the handlebars of the warehouse and distribution at our Hamilton airport location.
As our Distribution/Warehouse Manager (we call our managers Leaders), you will be responsible for the performance of our Hamilton Warehouse. You will oversee the flow of inventory, champion operational efficiencies, and lead a team that is as passionate about speed and accuracy as they are about the cycling industry.
You will take charge of the warehouse from top to bottom:- Lead & Inspire the Team: Manage, mentor, and motivate the warehouse crew. You will oversee rosters, training, and performance, fostering a culture of "All-in" commitment and "Win-win" collaboration.
- Own Dispatch & Logistics: Oversee the daily dispatch workflow to ensure courier pickup targets are met every time. Manage expectations and outcomes with logistics partners regarding service levels, resolve escalations, and optimise freight costs.
- Master Inventory Integrity: Take ownership of stock accuracy. Implement rigorous processes for receiving, devanning, transfers, and returns. Lead cycle counts and major stocktakes to ensure system data matches physical reality.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Be the super-user for our internal systems (ESTOCK). Actively identify bottlenecks in the warehouse and implement "Improve" strategies to make us faster and smarter.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture. Ensure the facility is compliant with Health & Safety legislation and critical biosecurity regulations for international goods. A forklift license and MPI accreditation for devanning containers is preferred.
- Lead from the Front: While you are a leader, you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Whether it’s helping devan a container or jumping in to clear a backlog picking stock, you lead by example.
- Proven Leadership: Experience managing a warehouse team. You know how to get the best out of people while maintaining high standards.
- Operational Expertise: A deep understanding of supply chain logistics, inventory management, and warehouse workflows. You can see the big picture without missing the small details.
- Tech & Data Savvy: High proficiency with Inventory Management Systems (WMS) and the ability to use data to report on KPIs and drive improvements.
- Communication Skills: You can translate "warehouse speak" for the wider business, ensuring the warehouse is aligned with the groups goals.
- Industry Passion: An interest in the cycling industry is a major plus!
