We have an exciting opportunity to work in a new collaborative role between Counties Manukau and Waitematā Districts, as the first Inpatient Hand Therapist at Waitematā District. This role is based at North Shore Hospital, where hand surgeons are keen to work closely with a hand therapist to provide expert clinical care. Your workload will cover a wide variety of hand and upper limb conditions, with the majority of your caseload will be post-operative, acute and trauma related adult cases.As an Advanced Clinician you will hold a clinical leadership role in the service with a focus on service development, research and evaluation, teaching and mentoring, quality and risk, and addressing health equity.Whilst based at North Shore Hospital, you will be employed by Counties Manukau, and will have a fantastic opportunity to practice in a specialised environment with direct access to other experienced, registered hand therapists at Counties Manukau District. Our team has a well-established tutorial and in-service programme which promotes continuous learning. You will also be well supported by on-site professional leaders at Waitematā. It is essential to hold New Zealand Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy registration and full registration as a Hand Therapist in New Zealand.
