Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Kidz First Child Development team, providing specialist clinical expertise and leadership in a collaborative, supportive environment.As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions for children with developmental difficulties or disabilitiesWork closely with families, taking a whaanau-centered approach to therapyManage complex cases with advanced clinical reasoning and problem-solving skillsProvide mentorship and clinical leadership within the teamSupport service development and quality improvement initiativesWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic careParticipate in ongoing professional development and research activitiesAccreditations for wheeled mobility, specialised equipment and housing modificationsWhat We’re Looking For:Registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing CertificateMinimum of 5 years’ experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy or related settingsStrong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills for managing complex casesExperience in clinical supervision, mentoring, and team leadershipHigh standard of communication skills with colleagues and whanauKnowledge of best practices, service development, and interdisciplinary collaborationCommitment to equity, innovation, and delivering high-quality healthcareFull, clean drivers licenceWhat's in it for you?Working in an innovative multidisciplinary team with professional development opportunitiesRefund of your annual practising certificate costDiscounted services as part of our work perksWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
