About the role:Reporting to Performance and Relationship Manager, we are currently seeking an experienced Scheduling Supervisor to lead a team of 4 Schedulers. This role requires a strong leader who can deliver effective transport schedules to achieve maximum efficiency and ensure compliance requirements are met.
Key Responsibilites:- Oversee production of daily delivery schedules to ensure maximum efficiency, resolve any issues as informed by drivers & advise customers if the schedule is unable to be met.
- Plan and execute fleet availability to meet customer demands and optimally utilise resources to maximise productivity
- Lead and motivate a team of schedulers & support them to achieve their goals
- Liaise with drivers to understand potential issues and assist in finding the right solutions.
- Pro-actively work with the Health and Safety Team and ensure robust systems are in place and followed by your team to embed best practices within the business and minimise risks
- Internal/External Stakeholders: Effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure all operational KPIs are met and develop strong customer relationships.
For this role, you will:
- Have minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial/supervisory role preferably with a transport background. Exposure to the DG world is an advantage.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)
- Prior scheduling experience
- Excellent inter-personal skills and leadership qualities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
